Sheldon, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — Three individuals were taken to the Sanford Sheldon Hospital to be checked out after an accident between Sheldon and Sanbourn last Tuesday evening.

35-year-old Christopher Cammann of Sanborn was Westbound on Highway 18 and stopped as a semi in front of him was turning left onto Oriole Avenue. 20-year-old Riley Andringa from Sheldon was also Westbound and tells authorities he believes his brakes malfunctioned and he struck the rear of the Cammann vehicle.

Cammann and a twelve-year-old passenger complained of injuries and were transported by ambulance to Sanford Sheldon Hospital. Andringa complained of neck pain and was taken to the hospital by private vehicle.
The accident was reported around 6:30pm.
