Spencer, Ia (Northwest Iowa Now) – The Spencer Girls Soccer team was at home on Monday night for a Northwest Iowa Soccer League Matchup against Western Christian of Hull.

The Wolfpack came out with a great defensive plan against the Tigers, clogging passing lanes in the penalty area.

Spencer was able to work their way to a goal with Avery Metcalf scoring in the 27th minute.

The Tigers took a 1-0 lead going into the half.

The second half was more of the same; a lot of Spencer opportunities to score, a lot of great Western Christian defensive plays, and some great saves by keeper Camryn Wynia.

Addyson Faris gave Spencer some insurance late, in the game’s 75th minute.

Western Christian is now 3-5-3 on the year and 2-3-0 in the Northwest Iowa Soccer League.

Spencer improves to 9-0-1 with a 6-0-0 NWISL Conference mark.
