SPENCER, IA (Northwestiowanow) – Homecoming activities are underway in Spencer as the Tigers get ready to take the field tonight.

Friday’s Homecoming parade brought students, alumni, and community organizations together to show their Tiger pride.

Spencer graduate Amy Simpson with Spencer Reads was among those taking part in the celebrations.

Spencer High School Special Education Teacher Molly VanderLinden says the parade was a great way for the Special Olympics team to show its support.

 

 

Spencer High School Key Club President Hannah Hibbs says the parade gives the club a chance to showcase its involvement in the community.

 

 

The Homecoming celebration continues tonight as Spencer hosts Le Mars at Dale Norton Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m., with live coverage on KICD.
