Cherokee, Ia (Northwest Iowa Now) – Cherokee welcomed Spencer for a Boys Tennis Dual on Thursday at the Sam Doupe Complex.
Cherokee’s Tyler Kohn picked up a 7-10 win in the first position, but that was the only win the Braves would gather up for the rest of the day.
Ade Thomas picked up a 10-4 win in the second position over Gerrit DeVos then Cole McDanel rolled past Trae Hoskinson for the third.
Spencer’s Charlie Moeller took the fourth position from Reese Carey 10-1. It was a 10-2 win for the Tigers’ Jackson Bergstadt over Gabriel Cortes-Dominguez.
Robbie Gerlock wrapped up singles with a 10-5 win for the Tigers against Logan Patterson.
It was all Tigers in doubles, Sherrod and Moeller won 10-5, Thomas and McDanel went 10-6, and Bergstadt combined with Gerlock to win 10-5.
The win improves Spencer to 2-3 on the year and 1-0 in the Lakes Conference.
