Spencer, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — The Spencer Police Department is out with their annual reminders for Halloween. Lieutenant Leigh Winterboer says it should be fun – not dangerous – for the kids.

Winterboer says it’s up to adults to make sure the trick or treaters remain safe.

Suggested trick or treat hours in Spencer are 5 to 8. Spencer Southpark Mall is offering indoor trick-or-treating from 4 until 6.
