Red Oak, Ia (Northwest Iowa Now) – Okoboji and Sheldon went to the 2A State Qualifier in Red Oak.

Van Meter’s Laura Streck won the girls race at 19:17.51.

Van Meter took the girls team title with 30 points. PCM was 2nd with 52, and Albia was 3rd at 63. All three qualify as a team. Okoboji took 7th.

In the Boys race, Kyle Wagoner of Clarinda won with a time of 16:49.89. Okoboji’s Evan Osler took 2nd at 17:26.99, moving on to Fort Dodge. Also qualifying for State is Okoboji’s Lane Larson with a time of 17:51.6. Sheldon’s Malakai Vermeer moves on with a time of 17:58.08.

Chariton won the team title with 44 points, Okoboji was 2nd with 81, and Sheldon placed 3rd with 110. All three advance to the State Meet as teams.
