Hull, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — Three people received injuries in a two-vehicle accident West of Hull Sunday morning – at least one of them serious.

The Iowa State Patrol reports 73 year old James Kooima from Rock Valley was Northbound on Highway 75, and turned West into the path of a Southbound vehicle driven by 63 year old Gaylene Hultman of Cherokee. The Kooima vehicle was struck, rolled once, and came to rest in the Southwest corner of the intersection.

Kooima was taken to Hegg Memorial Hospital, his passenger – 73 year old Margene Kooima – was airlifted by helicopter to Avera Hospital in Sioux Falls.  Hultman was taken to Sioux Center Hospital.  All three were wearing safety belts.
