Spencer, IA (Northwest Iowa Now) — The Clay County Sheriff’s Office has released information on a two vehicle collision that occurred Friday afternoon at the intersection of Highway 10 and 110th Ave.
According to the release, 43-year-old Mark Baker of Ashton was driving west in a Dodge Ram Pickup pulling a trailer; behind 73-year-old John Beeson, who was in a Chevrolet Silverado pulling a grain wagon. Baker entered the east bound lane in the no-passing zone, when Beeson started to turn south onto 110th ave. Baker hit his brakes and sideswiped the driver side of the Chevy Silverado, before entering the southwest ditch and stricking a culvert. Beeson’s vehicle came to rest on Hwy 10 facing west in the east bound lane, just past the intersection.
No injuries were reported. Mark Baker was charged with Driving on the Wrong Side of a Two-Way Highway.
