Estheville, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — Emmet County Sheriff Justin Schultes has released details about a Monday arrest at a state park.

As we previously reported, the Emmet County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by multiple agencies in searching for a suspect believed to be in Fort Defiance State Park near Wallingford.
There were reports of a man wearing shorts only, who had entered three unoccupied vehicles and had a confrontation with one of the campers before running into the woods. Later a motorist reported that an individual had requested a ride in the vicinity.

K-9 units and drones were used in an attempt to locate the party. He was later found hiding in a ditch.  28 year old Dalton Burdorf of Emmetsburg has been charged with: Three counts of 3rd degree burglary, trespassing, and providing false identification information to a law enforcement official. The Sheriff’s department says he was already wanted on an Emmet County warrant for failure to appear in court on two previous controlled substance violations.
