Storm Lake, IA (NorthwestIowaNow.com) — Last week the Storm Lake Middle school received a bomb threat, and although no charges have been filed yet, Superintendent Dr. Stacey Cole said an investigation will continue as they work with the Storm Lake Police Department.
Cole spoke to the Storm Lake School Board at their meeting Monday night.
The incident occured the morning of November 12th, when the threat came in from an unknown source. The Storm Lake Middle School immediately evacuated all students and staff. School officials did communicate with families through email to indicate there was no immediate threat to the students.
Cole says the school district has unfortunately dealt with bomb threats in the past, and response time is improving.
