Spencer, Iowa (NorthwestIowaNow.com) — Clay County Outreach Upper Des Moines Opportunity is back, in their permanent location.
That’s Clay County Outreach director Dawn Dahm.
Considering the impact Upper Des Moines Opportunity has on the community, it was doubly devastating when the recently purchased and refurbished Clay County Outreach UDMO office on 10th Street Southwest in was hit by flood waters this June.
Not only did they lose their home base, but there were more people who needed their services now than ever.
Temporarily operating out of the former Northwest Iowa Fitness location on 7th street, Clay County Outreach continued helping families and individuals, and haven’t missed a beat despite the circumstances they faced. They held successful parties for Santa for Seniors last week, handed out toys and food baskets, and even have a full Christmas meal their clients signed up that will be handed out this weekend.
Dahm says if you need their services, they are here to help.
Many area businesses and organizations stepped up to help UDMO, and Dahm is thankful for their help.
