Ruthven, Iowa (NorthwestIowaNow.com) — A Western Iowa man wanted on warrants in Osceola County is now in custody after being arrested in Ruthven.
According to the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were tipped off last Thursday, October 9th that 46-year-old Jamie Lee Wiersma of Merrill was staying at a home in Ruthven.
Wiersma was wanted for escaping from custody and a probation violation.
Authorities obtained a search warrant and members of the Multi-Agency Response Team arrested Wiersma at the address. He now faces an additional charge of Interference with Official Acts.
Wiersma was booked into the Palo Alto County Jail. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing in Osceola County on October 31st.
