Storm Lake, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — A Storm Lake man who eluded authorities in a car chase through a portion of town Thursday has surrendered himself. Officers spotted Rick Shed – who was wanted on a warrant for domestic abuse choking – in a black pickup and attempted to stop him. After several blocks they abandoned the chase out of safety concerns. Shed hit a utility pole and fled on foot several blocks after that.

He showed up at police headquarters Friday morning. In addition to being served the warrant he was charged with NINE counts including eluding an officer, failure to maintain control, and driving while suspended.
