Okoboji/HMS hosted their Girls Wrestling Invitational on Saturday.

Top finishers from the KICD area include Cassie McKeen of Spirit Lake/Park winning at 105 with Spencer’s Madison Stickrod 2nd and GTRA/ELC’s Katherine Scott 3rd.

Okoboji/HMS’s Brooke Stockdale won 110 with Spirit Lake/Park’s Audrina Bennett in 2nd and GTRA/ELC’s Terra Swedin in 3rd.

Trista Guinn of GTRA/ELC won 115 with Joley Schmahl of Spirit Lake/Park taking 3rd.

At 120, Sioux Central’s April Banda took 2nd with teammate Ella Farnham in 3rd.

Bre Johnson of Spencer won 125 with Sioux Central’s Nichole Hart in 3rd.

Spencer’s Kyiah Logan would win 135 with Viv Orenday of Sioux Central placing 2nd and Okoboji/HMS’s Kimberly Bergeson finishing 3rd.

In 140, Sioux Central’s Sigrid Adams was 2nd.

Shaylee Sutherland of Spencer won 145.

At 155, Spencer’s Bailey Schuster took 2nd with Okoboji/HMS’s Avery Wintz in 3rd.

It was Jenessa Gates of Okoboji taking 2nd at 170.

Spencer’s Brooke Mart took the title at 235 with Jassmin DeShazer of Sioux Central in 2nd.

Spencer took the team title with 172.5 points. Okoboji/HMS was 2nd with 166.5 and Harrisburg was 3rd at 152.5.

Sioux Central finished 6th, GTRA/ELC 7th, and Spirit Lake/Park 9th.

Emmetsburg attended the Audubon Girls Varsity Tournament.

Clarinda won with 191.5 points, Dallas Center-Grimes was 2nd with 143.5, and Logan-Magnolia took 3rd with 136.5. Emmetsburg was 20th.

Cherokee was at the Hinton Blackhawk Duals on Friday. The Braves lost to Hinton 62-0, beat MVAOCOU 54-27, and fell to West Lyon 58-28.

Pocahontas Area’s Jacob Lawson was 3rd at 106.

At 120, Emmetsburg’s CJ Rodriguez placed 3rd.

Josh Hoffmann of Sheldon/South O’Brien took 2nd at 132.

157 was won by Pocahontas Area’s William Lawson.

Emmetsburg’s Brayden Yates took 1st at 165 with Sheldon/South O’Brien’s Mitchel Fischer taking 2nd.
