The educational tour will remain in Spencer for the rest of the week, moving to Sacred Heart Catholic School on Thursday and concluding its local visit at Iowa Great Lakes Lutheran School on Friday.

Sheldon School District Superintendent Cory Myer gave KICD an update on an expansion project going on with the schools.

The new state funding will help the two groups work together to start this initiviative in the fall.

The next Spencer School Board meeting is April 28th at 5 pm at the Central Administration Building.

It takes place Thursday, April 16th, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at Hope Church.

The Board set two key dates for the community. A preliminary hearing for the Fiscal Year 2027 budget is scheduled for March 24th, with a final hearing to follow on April 28th.
