The Iowa Department of Education and the Iowa Governor’s STEM Advisory Council have announced the recipients of the 2025 Iowa STEM Teacher Award during a ceremony at the Iowa State Capitol.
A former math and science teacher has been selected as the new Superintendent for Estherville Lincoln Central. Andrew Armstead has experience in both Iowa and South Dakota’s education system.

Hiring consultant Trent Grundmeyer says the school board decided to skip preliminary interviews, as there are four other districts trying to hire a chief administrator right now.
