The annual tradition of inviting an Irish Dignitary to visit Emmetsburg continues for the 65th Annual Emmetsburg Irish Celebration.

Fun for all ages this Saturday at Family Fest, at the Clay County Regional Events Center in Spencer. Admission is free and there is fun for all ages and hands on activities, too.

Hollywood is lining up to pay tribute to Academy-award winner Gene Hackman. The city of Storm Lake can boast that Hackman was a resident of the community briefly in the 1940s.

Another U of O Winter games is now in the books. Morgan Strauss of the Iowa Great Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce estimates this year drew around thirty-thousand people.

After receiving more than 7300 creative names for MnDOTs Name a Snowplow Contest, officials have narrowed it down to 50 finalists.

Emmetsburg Main Street Community Theatre opens with a new production this weekend called “The Woman in Black.”

This Saturday night at SCT Playhouse – Elvis will be “in the building.”  Joseph Hall travels all over the country paying tribute to the “King of Rock N’ Roll.” 

Classic Rock Group Kansas kicks off the SRG Concert Series at the Clay County Fair on Night number one. Lead singer Ronnie Platt called More 104.9 from the road.
