A series of workshops are launching this week to teach Iowans how to extend the habitat for monarch butterflies and other pollinators.

Oscar Navarro-Zepeda, 43 is convicted of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.

Local Businesses in Spencer can apply for the Commercial Business Assistance Grant Program through the Spencer Economic Development Corporation. Starting today, applications will be accepted, and the money is to be used to cover up to 25 percent of certain recovery costs, like replacing equipment, furniture and inventory.
