A Month after a crash that took the life of one Laker Baseball Player and Injured multiple others, Iowa Lakes is returning to the diamond

Spencer Senior Sydnee Hopkins is moving on to the next level to play College Basketball at Central in Pella. Hopkins inked her Letter of Intent on Friday morning with family, teammates, and coaches present at the Spencer Fieldhouse.

Investigation has been ongoing and involved several agencies.

A Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Deputy clocked 52-year-old Steven Himes of Ottosen driving 84 miles-per-hour in a 55 mile-per-hour zone at the Emmet County border around 8:30pm.

The Spencer fire department spent over twelve hours getting a large tree pile at the city’s green waste site under control over the weekend.

That election will be held Tuesday, April 7th.

The restaurants will now be judged by secret judges and the winner announced May 1st to kick off Beef Month in Iowa.
