SPENCER, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — The search is currently underway for the next Clay County Fair Queen.

Applications are now being accepted for the 2025 Queen Pageant. The winner will receive numerous prizes, including a $1,500 scholarship sponsored by Community State Bank, serve as the ambassador for the Clay County Fair, and compete for the Iowa State Fair Queen title.

The queen will represent the fair at various community events throughout the summer, including the Flagfest Parade, Iowa State Fair Queen Contest, and Clay County Fair.

Eligible candidates must be females aged 16-21, reside in Clay County or an adjoining county, and be members of at least one service organization. They must be unmarried, have no children, not hold another queen title, and not be professional models. Contestants will be judged on personality, leadership, and community involvement.

Applications are available online and must be submitted by May 12th. Finalists will be notified by May 27th and will compete on June 8th.
