Spencer, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — A long-time manager of the Spencer YMCA has passed. Community leader John Cotton called Chuck Pletke one of his best friends.

Pletke was living in Des Moines and passed away at the age of 89.

Cotton says Chuck Pletke started his lifelong association with the YMCA as a young camper in Minnesota.  His funeral was this past Friday in Des Moines.
