Northwest Iowa (Northwest Iowa Now) — We’ve been reporting for the past several days in the weather department – there is a significant risk for severe weather across much of the state Monday.
According to the latest information from the National Weather Service, northwest Iowa has been put in a Level 4 of 5 for severe weather, with the potential for destructive winds, large hail, thunderstorms and tornadoes all likely. Forecasters say from mid-afternoon into the evening will be the timeframe for the most severe activity.
It is recommended you have a plan in place to seek shelter if needed. Communicate with family members where the safest place in your home is – same thing in the work place – be sure you and your co-workers know what to do in the event of severe weather.
Our “severe weather team” at Spencer Media Group will be here monitoring weather conditions throughout the day and evening to keep you informed and safe.
