Spencer, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — Ten young ladies will be competing for the crown of Clay County Fair Queen on Sunday, June 8th.
This year’s contestants include Nevaeh Brauhn of Sioux Rapids; Jasmyn Christensen of Spencer; Lilly Jepsen of Spencer; Dakoda Lux of Everly; Ava McCarty of Peterson; Abbey Crew of Spencer; Maggie Moser of Spencer; Sarah Phillips of Linn Grove; Hannah Tessum of Everly and Emmalee Thompson of Linn Grove.
Each candidate will be interviewed individually by the judges, as well as perform a self-expression during the program. Whomever is chosen at this year’s Clay County Fair Queen will be representing the fair at area parades this summer and compete at the Iowa State Fair Queen contest in August. The Queen will receive nearly $3,000 in cash and prizes.
The contest will be Sunday, June 8th at the Clay County Regional Events Center at 7pm. The public is welcome to attend.
