Spencer, IA (NorthwestIowaNow.com) — Thursday afternoon MORE 104.9 announced this year’s Teacher of The Year.

This year’s recipient is Johnson Elementary Kindergarten teacher Ms. Cheryl Jackson. She actually came out of retirement to teach one more year. Jackson said this was a huge honor:

MORE 104.9’s Kevin Tlam and Rhiannon Smith, along with Farmers Trust & Savings Bank in Spencer surprised Ms. Jackson in front of the entire school. She received a $250 gift card and plaque.
