Dickinson County, IA (NorthwestIowaNow) — Multiple sections of County Road M-56 are expected to close beginning Monday as crews conduct culvert replacement work.

According to the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office, the first closure will affect County Road M-56 between 15685 250th Avenue and 15691 250th Avenue. The project is expected to take approximately three days to complete.

Once that work is finished, the closure will shift east to the section of road from east of 15715 250th Avenue to 160th Street for a second culvert replacement.

A detour route will be available to provide access to properties outside the active construction zones. Drivers are advised to use caution in the area and allow extra travel time while work is underway.

Normal traffic patterns will resume after both culvert replacement projects have been completed.
