Des Moines, IA (KICD) — Pocahontas is among the counties approved for FEMA Public Assistance.

Governor Reynolds made the announcement Friday night. It’s a result of a Major Disaster Declaration for storms that moved through the area on June 16th.  Additional housing assistance was also approved for Osceola County under the Disaster Recovery Temporary Housing program.
