Spencer, Ia (KICD) – One of the Iowa’s most competitive Volleyball Conferences is revving up for the 2024 season.
Alta-Aurelia is expected to be one of the teams competing for the Twin Lakes Conference Title. The Warriors have seen an influx of numbers this season.
After a 20-3 season last year and a 9-2 record in the TLC, Coach Erin Nelson believes this team should be able to pace the conference.
Emmetsburg Coach Danielle Auten thinks the E-Hawks are being overlooked in the Twin Lakes Title picture.
Emmetsburg has been very active in the summer after going 14-17 with a 5-6 conference record in 2023, so the E-Hawks will have a lot of reps going into the season opener.
Sioux Central went 5-15 in 2023 with a 3-8 Conference record. Head Coach Sara Grossnickle talked about what the Rebels bring back.
Grossnickle has some high expectations for the Rebels offensive attack.
Nikki Brown is the new coach at the helm of GTRA. Brown has been happy with the Titans group in the early season.
GTRA was 3-24 a year ago, and Brown says improvement defensively is the focus in order for the Titans to grow in 2024.
East Sac County won the Conference in 2023 and will be one of the frontrunners along with Newell-Fonda, who turned in a 21-9 record and tied for 2nd in the TLC before a Cinderella run to the 1A State Tournament. The Mustangs bring back a lot of production up front and will look for a repeat of last year’s effort or better.
KICD will have Social Media coverage of the Okoboji Tournament which West Bend-Mallard will be at, as well as the GTRA Tournament with Emmetsburg, Pocahontas Area, Sioux Central, and West Bend-Mallard competing.
