Spencer, Ia (KICD) – The reigning and defending NJCAA Division II Men’s Soccer Champions return to the pitch for their 2024 season on August 23rd against Southwestern Illinois.

Iowa Lakes Coach Ben MaCrae broke down a stacked non-conference slate for the Lakers.

A high turnover rate is a regularity in Junior College Athletics, and Iowa Lakes Men’s Soccer is no exception. MaCrae talked about athletes the Lakers retained.

With athletes coming from around the world, a lot of different styles of play must come together in one system. MaCrae is happy with what he’s seen in the first few weeks but says there is still a way to go.

The Lakers belong to the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference, which has emerged as arguably the strongest in NJCAA’s Division II level when it comes to Men’s Soccer.
