Mason City, Ia (KICD) – The Spencer Area Swim Team hit the road to face Mason City and North of Des Moines in Mason City.

The Tigers started Strong, taking the top 3 places in the Girls 200 Yard Medley Relay.  The winning relay was made up of Halle Sears, Ella Kasperbauer, Lily Gross, and Ava Vogt who were the only sub-2-minute time at 1:57.98.

Spencer’s next win was from Halle Sears who clocked 2:13.53 in the 200 Yard Individual Medley.

The Tigers would take 3 of the top four spots in the 50 Yard Freestyle, led by Ava Vogt’s time of 26.92.

Sears would snag another win for Spencer in the 100 Yard Butterfly with a time of 1:01.48.

Lily Gross of Spencer was the only swimmer to go under 60 seconds in her 100 Yard Freestyle win, hitting the wall in 59.94 seconds.

Spencer’s 200 Yard Freestyle Relay team of Gross, Maisy Schmidt, Vogt, and Sears went 1:48.53 to place 1st.

Emily Schmidt of Spencer won the 100 Yard Backstroke with a time of 1:09.76.

The Tigers placed 3 in the top 4 of the 100 Yard Breaststroke, which was won by Lily Gross, clocking 1:09.97.

Spencer would dominate North of Des Moines in the team scores 124-46 and outscored Mason City 107-76.  Mason City would top North of Des Moines 125-57.
