Spencer, Ia (KICD) – The Spencer Volleyball team hosted Cherokee on Thursday night in the Fieldhouse. Cherokee had already locked up a Conference Title with wins over the other 3 schools and Spencer with 2 conference losses already.

It was all Braves from the start.

Cherokee won Set 1 25-10, Set 2 25-6, and Set 3 25-12.

The Braves not only finish 4-0 in the Lakes Conference, but didn’t lose a set to a league opponent, winning all 12.

Cherokee is now 19-2 on the year and will host West of Sioux City on October 10th.

Spencer drops to 9-20 on the year and 0-3 in the Lakes Conference. The Tigers will wrap up conference play on October 8th against Spirit Lake.

In non-conference play, Emmetsburg beat Estherville Lincoln Central 3-1

For Siouxland Conference action, Sheldon lost to Sioux Center 3-0, Sibley-Ocheyedan dropped to Central Lyon 3-0, and Okoboji fell to Boyden-Hull 3-0.

Twin Lakes Conference Volleyball had Sioux Central lose to East Sac County 3-0, Newell-Fonda shutout St. Mary’s of Storm Lake 3-0, and Alta-Aurelia pick up a big 3-2 win over West Bend-Mallard.
