Spencer, Ia (Northwest Iowa Now) – It was an exciting night of football across the KICD area. This is your Friday Football Wrap Up from Northwest Iowa Now.

On News Radio 102.5 and AM 1240 KICD, the Spencer Tigers hosted West of Sioux City.

Spencer dominated from the opening kick, starting the game by intercepting the Wolverines on their first 3 drives, which included a pick-6 by Jack Berends.

Preston Pitts picked up a 31-yard Touchdown run to extend that Tiger lead.

Spencer led West 21-0 after the 1st Quarter. In the 2nd Quarter, Spencer went back to the Rocket Toss again, this time to Drew Piercy.

After forcing a punt on the next Wolverine Drive, Cael Bruning connected with Preston Pitts for his 8th Touchdown pass on the season.

A late 2nd Quarter Touchdown by Kam Young would give the Tigers a 41-0 lead, which would be where the score stood for the running clock 2nd half, and Spencer rolled to their 5th win of the year and improve to 3-0 in District Play.

Spencer outgained West on the night 253 to 86 as the Tigers held the Wolverines to -5 rushing yards.

On Big Country 107.7, Sibley-Ocheyedan hosted Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn.

After the Generals grew their lead to 20 on a Kayne Julius Touchdown dash, the Hawks were able to find the endzone again on a 41 yard Touchdown pass from Jack Mastbergen to Jackson Vogt, making it 27-14.

Sibley-Ocheyedan would answer the Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn score by finishing the game out with another 14 unanswered to win 48-14.
