Spencer, IA (northwestiowanow) — The KICD LIVE Doppler Forecast is calling for the chance of ice and snow to end the work week.

Mixed precipitation expected on Friday evening starting at around 5 pm this system will work its way out of the KICD Broadcasting area by 9 am Saturday morning.

Total snow and sleet accumulation up to one inch and ice accumulations up to one tenth of an inch are very well possible. KICD could see anywhere from a Trace-2 inches.

The KICD Weather Team reminds you to have a plan and be prepared. The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday evening commute. So please make sure you have a “winter-survival-kit” for inside your vehicles, in the event you should get stranded.

As always, the Spencer Radio Group will keep you updated on any postponements and closing throughout this winter season, both on-air and on all our websites.
