Spencer, IA (northwestiowanow.com) — During the severe weather outbreak on Monday afternoon and evening, the National Weather Service issued a total of 30 watches and warnings, including a Tornado Warning for Emmet, Palo Alto, and Kossuth counties.

Listeners began calling in reports at 2:52 p.m., with the first indicating a semi-truck tipped over on B-24, four miles west of Everly. Additional reports included heavy downpours and hail ranging from pea to quarter size as well as Golf Ball sized near Graettinger.
