Spencer, IA (Northwest Iowa Now) — The Clay County Sheriff’s Department investigated a suspicious person and discovered there was an outstanding warrant for his arrest and wound up arresting him for possession of drugs.

61-year-old Carl Leggett was taken into custody at 2930 Highway 18 near Dickens about 3am on September 7th. He was charged with 2nd offense possession of meth, 2nd offense possession of marijuana, 2nd offense possession of hydrocodone, also possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to affix a drug tax stamp.
