Hospers, IA (northwestiowanow.com) — On Monday, June 2, at 6:12 p.m., the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office responded to two weather-related accidents on Highway 60, two miles north of Hospers.

Brandy Wright, 39, of Sheldon, and Daniel Schroeder, 43, of Eagle Bend, Minn., were both driving north when debris from a severe thunderstorm struck their vehicles.

Wright was uninjured; Schroeder sustained minor injuries. Damages were estimated at $8,000 for the Volkswagen Jetta and $5,000 for the Freightliner truck.

Multiple agencies assisted at the scene, including state and local emergency services.
