Des Moines, IA (northwestiowanow.com) — Keep an eye on the sky late this afternoon and tonight as severe weather is possible. National Weather Service meteorologist Alexis Jimenez says much of the state may see a few powerful storms rumble overhead, while the risk is strongest for southwest Iowa.
The line of severe storms will move east at about 20-30 mph. The KICD listening area remains in a level 2 of 5 (slight) risk of severe weather. Timing between 6-8pm for the Spencer area. Main Threat: large hail and strong winds.
