SPENCER, IA (Northwestiowanow) — Spencer’s Flagfest Weekend gets underway today, running Friday, June 12 through Sunday, June 14.

A variety of activities are planned throughout the community over the three-day celebration.

At the Clay County Heritage Center, Executive Director Susan Christiansen says visitors can enjoy free admission all weekend, along with several special offerings.

 

 

Christiansen says the weekend also provides an opportunity to showcase some newly discovered artifacts.

 

 

Ending the weekend, Chris Goodie with Clay County Historic Preservation says residents can take part in “Sunday in the Cemetery,”
