This Weekend: Temperatures will continue to warm up across northwest Iowa this weekend. Winds should stay light, which may keep temperatures from getting as hot as earlier forecasts suggested. Humidity levels should remain manageable, making it feel a little more comfortable despite the warmer weather. 

Next Week (Monday-Thursday): A hot and dry pattern is expected across northwest Iowa. High temperatures will reach the 90s each day, and a few spots could approach 100 degrees. Rain chances look very low during this time. While heat index values may stay below 100 degrees, several days of hot weather in a row could lead to heat-related stress, especially for those spending a lot of time outdoors. Staying hydrated and taking breaks in the shade or air conditioning will be important.
