Council Bluffs, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — Over 51 thousand Iowans had power interrupted because of snapped lines and poles Wednesday.

MidAmerican Energy says at one time 1,220 customers were impacted in the LeMars, to Cherokee, to Storm Lake corridor; but it appears they were all back online by 10 o’clock last night. As of the last report – which was late last night, 11,186 customers were in the dark.
