Paullina, Ia (KICD) – The South O’Brien Cross Country team has been working through early season practices over the last 10 days. Head coach Jeremy Lansink says his team is eager to improve this season.
The Girls team graduated a few key pieces from a season ago, and the boys’ team will need some younger runners to step up as well.
The War Eagle Conference is going to look a little different this season, and Coach Lansink is interested to see how the League Hierarchy will unfold.
Lansink says the Ridgeview meet will be an important one this season because of the number of runners they’ll see, as well as fellow State Qualifying Meet teams.
The Wolverines open up their season at Cherokee. KICD will have coverage of their meet at Sioux Central on September 14th. For more area high school sports conversation, listen to the KICD Sports Beacon, a podcast on KICDam.com.
