Spencer, IA — Severe thunderstorms moved through the area Thursday afternoon and early evening, leading to seven Severe Thunderstorm Warnings and one Tornado Warning for northern Kossuth County.

Some locations saw very heavy rainfall, including Aurelia, where 1.2 inches of rain fell in a short amount of time.

Several hail reports were also received, with hail sizes ranging from 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter in Cherokee and Buena Vista Counties.
