The Twin Lakes Conference wrestled their Girls Conference meet on Saturday. KICD area 1st place finishers include Anika Stearns of Emmetsburg, Trista Guinn of GTRA, ISabelle Harris of GTRA, and Hannah Illg-Kieth of Sioux Central.
LeMars hosted a girls tournament. Top area finishers included Auruora Preston of Spirit Lake Park taking 1st at 100, CAssie McKeen of Spirit Lake Park placing 2nd at 105, and Sheldon/Southy O’Brien’s Alyssa Chnoor winning 140.
In the LeMars Boys Wrestling Tournament top area finishers included Josh Hoffman of Sheldon/South O’Brien winning 106, Dawson Beyer of Sibley-Ocheyedan taking 1st at 138, Coy De Boer of Sheldon/South O’Brien placing 2nd at 152, Sheldon/South O’Brien’s Jarrett Roos placing 1st at 182, and Sibley-Ocheyedan’s Michael Block of SIbley-Ocheyedan placed 1st at 285.
In the Boys Twin Lakes Conference Wrestling Tournament, top area boys finishers included Mason Knapp of West Bend-Mallard placing 1st at 106, Joseph Peterson of Emmetsburg taking 3rd at 106, CAleb Swedin of GTRA winning 113, Kaben Morrow of Sioux Central taking 2nd at 120, Sioux Central’s Keagan Riley placing 1st at 126, Sioux Central[‘s Hunter Cooper took 2nd at 132, Ryan Brennan of Emmetsburg placed 1st at 145, Ryan Wirtz of Emmetsburg took 2nd at 152, while Garrett Fehr of West Bend-Mallard took 3rd, Justin Wirtz of Emmetsburg placed 1st at 160, Logan Grimm of West Bend-Mallard was 2nd, and Bryce Rosacker of GTRA was 3rd, Jace Nelson-Brown of Emmetsburg won 170 with Jordan Saul of GTRA taking 3rd, Emmetsburg’s Cade Shirk took 2nd at 182, Ben Saxton of Emmetsburg took 1st at 195, with West Bend-Mallard’s Ethan Zaugg taking 2nd, Nick Saxton of Emmetsburg won 220 with GTRA’s Cael Currans taking 3rd, and GAge Jorgenson of Emmetsburg took 1st at 285 while Donavan Young of GTRA took 2nd. Emmetsburg won the meet with 249 points, GTRA was 3rd, West Bend-Mallard 5th, and Sioux Central 8th.
The Spencer Tiger boys wrestled at the Perry Invitational. Top finishers include Logan Huckfelt of Spencer taking 2nd at 285. The Tigers placed 8th as a team with 111 points out of 17 schools.
