Spencer, Ia (KICD) – The Spencer Boys Swim team took on Carroll Tuesday night in the Jeffery S. Olsen Memorial Pool at the Spencer Family YMCA.

Carroll pretty much ran the show from the first event, placing 1st in all but one of the races.

The loan Spencer winner was Oliver Miller, who put together an impressive final 150 yards in the 500 Yard Freestyle to come back and beat Kyle Sundrup of Carroll. Miller clocked a time of 5:27.71 in that race.

Carroll came away with the win in the team score 109.5-60.5.

Despite the loss, Spencer coach Katy Chapman saw a lot of value in the dual.

Parker Van Otterloo placed 3rd in the 100-yard freestyle, 2nd in the 100-yard Backstroke, and was in three of the Tigers relays.

Owen Manwarren feels there are a few things he needs to improve on.

Spencer will be in Marshalltown next for an Invitational.
