Five area schools attended the ESC Girls Wrestling Tournament on Monday.

Spirit Lake/Park’s Aroura Preston took 1st in the 100lb weight class while her teammate Cassie McKeen took the 105lb title.

Emmetsburg’s Kylie Iverson won the 155lb class and her teammate Hailey Bailey won 190.

Okoboji/HMS’ Amelia Sirola finished 1st in the 235lb weight division.

In the team scores, Ridge View won with 207 points, Okoboji/HMS took 3rd with 96, Sioux Central 4th with 86.5, Spirit Lake/Park 5th with 84.5, Emmetsburg 7th with 69.5, and West Bend-Mallard 11th with 5.

The Storm Lake Boys Wrestling team topped Cherokee on Monday 48-18.

GTRA, Spirit Lake/Park, and Sioux Central met for a Triangular. GTRA went 2-0, beating Sioux Central 39-36 and Spirit Lake/Park 43-27. Sioux Central would top Spirit Lake/Park 54-24.
