Spencer, IA (KICD) — Home prices were substantially higher in the first half of 2024 in two of the three counties covered by the Iowa Great Lakes Board of Realtors where Realtor Cristy Jones from Northwest Iowa Realty is serving as president.

There have been 54 home sales in Emmet County this year, up 24 percent, the average sale price there is 135 thousand dollars one thousand dollars higher than 2023.
Jones says it’s too soon to see what the effect of the flooding is having on the local housing market yet.
The state association has also approved funding for homeowners in Northwest Iowa impacted by the flood.
