2023 was a record with 1,792 students, but this year the number is up another 6.4 percent to 1,907.  Marketing Director Kristin Kollbaum says NCC operates on multiple terms, and for the full 2023-24 academic year, there was a record 2,778 students, up 2.85 percent from 2022-23. Kollbaum tells Northwestiowanow.com credits leadership for tailoring programs to meet the needs to today’s industry, and says staff struggled to meet the needs of students through the challenges of the summer’s flooding.

Northwest Iowa Community College says its graduation rate is 55.4 percent, while the statewide average is 42.1 percent.
