Spirit Lake, IA (northwestiowanow.com) — Turtle Lake, a vital waterway connecting Millers Bay, Emerson Bay, and Spencer Beach is in urgent need of preservation. The committee urges the community to unite and support this important cause to protect Turtle Lake for future generations. Turtle Lake is a recreational space for kayaking, paddle boarding, and fishing.

The Save Turtle Lake committee is currently at $350,000 dollars – but aims to raise $750,000 dollars. All contributions are tax-deductible, and pledges will only be collected if the total financial commitment is met.

Donations will be collected in late December or early January 2025, depending on what tax year the donor would like to use.
