Webb, IA — On April 13th, in eastern Clay County north of Webb, a tornado touched down at 7:49 p.m. between 290th Avenue and 300th Avenue. This touchdown is classified as EF0 with the estimated starting point based on firsthand accounts, video, and radar data. The tornado soon crossed 300th Avenue; and eventually crossed 310th Avenue before lifting near the corner of 460th Street and 320th Avenue.
Damage occurred to one-or-two-family residences, including the loss of roof covering material, gutters and/or awnings, as well as vinyl or metal siding. Additional damage to a residence south of the tornado path was caused by wind-driven hail and straight-line winds. Winds were measured at 72 mph by a personal weather station on site.
The tornado lifted at 7:52 p.m., meaning the EF0 tornado was on the ground for three minutes.
