Dickens, Iowa – (NorthwestIowaNow.com) — Todd Krukow is not only a world champion firefighter, he’s a back-to-back world champion. He hails from Dickens and volunteers on the Dickens Fire Department, as well as also volunteers for the Dive Team for the Okoboji/Arnolds Park Fire Department … in addition to still working a full-time job.
Krukow knows about being an elite firefighter. They call it the toughest 2 minutes in sports. It’s the Fire Fighter Leage Challenge, with multiple events leading up to the World Finals, much like racing or soccer. And their firefighting skills are put to the test.
And just how did he do?
He has already been asked to compete in the 2025 Fire Fighter Challenge series. So Krukow is back to training for the next world championships. He is still living amongst us in Northwest Iowa and still volunteering to fight fires. To follow Krukow and other elite fire fighters competing – visit www.firefighterchallenge.com.
