Spencer, Ia (KICD) – The Spencer Tigers took on Sioux Center to close out Non-District play at Dale Norton Field in Spencer.

It was another rough night in the turnover department for the Tigers. Spencer was moving the ball well to start the game, before fumbling in Sioux Center territory. The Warriors cashed in on a Conner Kamerman 6 yard Touchdown run to make it 7-0.

The Tigers would then fumble the ensuing kick off which was quickly turned in to another Sioux Center Score on a Brody Van Regenmorter 32 yard Touchdown run making it 14-0.

Spencer would get a quick score back though on the next kickoff.

Sioux Center would continue to roll on offense as Solomon Tea scored from 26 yards out, making the score 21-7.

Brody Van Regenmorter would connect with Touchdown Passes to both Isaiah Else and Cale Van Beek, making the score 35-7 going into the half.

The Spencer Defense started to make some stops in the second half, and a late snap went over the head of the Sioux Center Quarterback Hunter Van Zee.

Sioux Center would be able to run out the clock on the next drive, bringing us to our final score of 35-14.

The Warriors were led by Connor Kamerman in rushing who went 153 yards and a Touchdown on 17 carries. Sioux Center totaled 276 yards of rushing on the night.

Spencer was lead in rushing by Kamden Young who carried the football 10 times for 51 yards. The Tigers ended the night with 144 yards of total offense.

Spencer falls to 0-4 on the year and will open up District play at home against LeMars next week.

Sioux Center improves to 3-1 and will face Bishop Heelan of Sioux City next week at home.
